The 2010 ICAC National Conference will be held in Jacksonville, FL May 11-14, 2010!

The ICAC Task Force Program was created to help State and local law enforcement agencies enhance their investigative response to offenders who use the Internet, online communication systems, or other computer technology to sexually exploit children.  The program is currently composed of 61 regional Task Force agencies and is funded by the United States Office Of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.  Click here for a complete listing of ICAC Task Force Agencies by State.

The ICAC Training & Technical Assistance Program was established to assist these agencies with training and technical assistance in support of their Internet Crimes Against Children initiatives.  Our Program is meant to be a resource to the ICAC Task Force.  In addition to providing training to Task Force agencies and their Affiliates, we also offer technical assistance services.  Technical assistance can take many forms, such as delivering specialized training, providing model policies or even assisting a Task Force with securing an experienced and knowledgeable presenter for a conference they are sponsoring.  Listed below is a brief explanation of some of the resources we have to offer.

Handcuffed Hands

  •  ICAC Training & TA Program Collaboration Portal: Our Program is currently in the process of building a collaboration portal site that will supplement our existing public web site as well as offer additional resources to Task Force and Affiliate members and our students.  It is scheduled to be launched by the end of November 2009.  We are very excited about this project and the additional resources that we will be able to offer in a secure environment.  We will be posting additional information as we get closer to launching this site so please stay tuned!

  • ICAC Training & TA Program Guide to Requesting Training This document outlines the process to request training through our office.  It is available for download from our web site.

  • MyTraining Registration System Portal: Fox Valley Technical College supports this web-based student registration system for our Program.  We use it to register participants for all in-person and distance learning training programs and meetings coordinated by our Program.  Each user is required to create a student account before registering for any event.  There are links to this registration system from the course pages of our web site.  It can also be accessed directly at: www.fvtc.edu/apps/mytraining/Public/Home.aspx

  • ICAC ListServ This is a closed e-mail distribution list that is meant to promote discussion between ICAC members with regard to ICAC related issues.  Primary and Alternate Task Force agency personnel are automatically added to the ICAC ListServ.  You can find List guidelines and information about adding additional participants on our web site.

  • ICAC Task Force Affiliate Agency Portal Our office supports this web-based database that was created to allow Task Force agencies to maintain data on each of their Affiliate Agencies.  It was designed to integrate with our web-based registration system.    Students must be either a Task Force or Affiliate agency member in order to attend our training programs.  Task Force agencies must have a signed Memorandum of Understanding with an agency in order to be considered an Affiliate.  Please call our office if you have questions about using this Portal.

This project is supported by Grant #2008-MC-CX-K021, #2009-MC-CX-K038 and #2009-MC-CX-K055 awarded by the OJJDP, OJP, US DOJ.  Points of view or opinions in this document are those of the author and do not necessarily represent the official position or policies of the US DOJ.
